Hi, I am Sera Orme and I have been counselling since 2005. I am a qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with a BA (Hons) Counselling and Post Graduate Diploma in counselling and am fully CRB cleared. As part of my ongoing personal development I have completed additional courses which examine in greater depth specific areas such as bereavement, substance misuse, eating disorders, play therapy (for children), couples etc.
The important thing to remember is that I operate to very strict BACP confidentiality rules and you can be assured that anything said during a session stays between us (subject to a few exceptions which I’ll explain before we start). I follow the integrative counselling model which means I combine a number of counselling and psychotherapy techniques as appropriate to your needs. I am also fully CBT trained. This means I can help with any problem you may be experiencing including bereavement, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, abuse (sexual, physical or psychological), relationships (family and couples), bullying, loneliness, school/academic stress, gender/sexual orientation, discrimination, substance misuse and health problems. I do a lot of work with children and young people and also work as a school counsellor. Together we can reflect on how you respond to life events and explore the way you relate to yourself and others. I will not tell you what to do or give advice, but will help you make your own choices.
I can come to your home or workplace or you can see me at my private consultation rooms at The Remedy Centre, 9-11 Alma Road, Windsor, Berks (Mondays and Fridays).
